Car tracker installation cost: what to compare
Compare tracker hardware, mobile fitting, subscriptions and renewal charges before choosing GPS, S7 or S5 tracking for a car or van.

Start with the service you need
A quote for self-monitored GPS tracking buys a different service from an insurer-required monitored tracker. Decide whether you need journey information, fleet records, a monitored recovery service or additional start authorisation before comparing totals.
Ask for an itemised fitted price
Check the hardware price, installation charge and any travel or vehicle-specific work. Confirm whether the advertised amount is supply-only or fitted. Give the installer the model, year and postcode so the quote matches the actual job. Current NodeTrack prices are listed in the product catalogue, with the complete installation agreed before payment.
Include subscription and renewal costs
Compare the initial monitoring period with the cost of renewing it. For a fair comparison, add hardware, fitting and subscriptions over the same ownership period for each option. Check cancellation and transfer terms with the provider if you expect to sell or change the vehicle.
What about trackers with no monthly fee?
A no-monthly-fee claim does not by itself tell you whether the product has an annual charge, a prepaid term or the monitoring your insurer needs. The NodeTrack GPS service has an ongoing subscription, and the monitored S5/S7 range needs an active monitoring service. Check the total cost and service terms rather than assuming subscription-free insurance tracking is available.
Choosing the best car tracker for your needs
Compare who responds to alerts, how fresh the location report is, what journey information is available and whether you need driver recognition or immobilisation. No single tracker is the best choice for every private car, work van and rental fleet.
Finding tracker installation near you
For mobile fitting, provide the postcode where the vehicle will be available. NodeTrack covers the UK, with Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire as our main service areas and an additional travel charge elsewhere. Confirm availability, suitable access and working conditions before booking.
