Choosing a tracker for your car or van

Use the exact model, not just the badge
A make is a useful starting point, but the model year, powertrain and electronics affect an installation. Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover enquiries have dedicated service pages. For BMW, Volkswagen, Ford, Toyota, Porsche, Jaguar and other makes, send the same vehicle details for an individual check. This is an enquiry list, not a promise that every product fits every model.
Private cars and higher-value vehicles
Decide whether you need everyday location information, an insurer-required monitored tracker or additional start protection. Provide the policy wording if insurance is involved. Vehicle value or a performance badge alone does not establish the tracker category your insurer accepts.
Work vans and commercial fleets
For vehicles such as a Ford Transit, Volkswagen Transporter or Mercedes Sprinter, explain whether you want to monitor one van or manage several drivers and vehicles. Include fleet size, journey reporting needs and fitting access. Tool security and physical door locks are separate from the GPS tracking service described here.
Hire cars and rental vans
Rental operators should think about who assigns each hirer, when records are updated and who reviews alerts. Compare the account workflow as well as the tracker. If the fleet also has an insurance tracking requirement, check that separately rather than treating journey monitoring as equivalent to monitored recovery.
Electric and hybrid vehicles
Include the exact electric or hybrid version when asking about compatibility. Do not choose a tracker or immobiliser solely because it fits a petrol model with the same name. We confirm the appropriate product and installation before booking.
Get a quote with the details that matter
Send the make, model, year, powertrain, fitting postcode, any existing aftermarket security and your insurer requirements. We can then discuss the equipment, complete fitting price and subscription. Mobile fitting is available nationwide, with Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire as our main service areas and an additional travel charge elsewhere, subject to confirmation.
