Self-install two-wire GPS trackers
A two-wire tracker offers vehicle tracking using a suitable permanent power supply and ground connection. Ask NodeTrack about self-install options for your cars, work vans and fleet vehicles.
Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm. Closed Sunday.
Choose the right device and kit
Tell us the vehicle make, model, year and voltage. We confirm the tracker, cable arrangement, mounting position and installation requirements. Two-wire refers to the power connection; it does not mean every tracker or vehicle uses the same kit.
Power and ground, installed correctly
Follow the supplied model-specific instructions, including protection, routing and mounting requirements. Battery and vehicle electrical work needs care; choose professional fitting if you are not confident carrying it out safely.
Ignition and journeys
Without a dedicated ignition connection, a tracker may infer vehicle activity from voltage or movement. This depends on configuration and vehicle behaviour, so the installation must be checked on the actual vehicle.
Understand the feature limits
Two-wire power alone does not provide vehicle diagnostics, fuel data, tachograph downloads or remote immobilisation. Any extra function requires compatible hardware and an agreed installation.
Customisation for your operation
We can customise a solution to your requirements, subject to a minimum order quantity and an agreed specification. Tell us your vehicle or asset count, reporting needs and preferred installation method. Feasibility, minimum quantity, price and lead time are confirmed in your quote.
UK-wide supply and fitting enquiries
NodeTrack serves customers across the UK, with self-install options and nationwide mobile fitting by arrangement. Send your postcode and vehicle details to confirm compatibility, appointment availability and any travel charges. Tracking updates depend on device power, mobile connectivity and satellite reception.

Common questions
Can I install it myself?
Self-install options are available subject to vehicle and equipment suitability. We confirm the supplied kit and instructions; professional fitting can be arranged if preferred.
Does it work on cars and lorries?
Only where the chosen device supports the vehicle’s voltage and installation conditions. Confirm the exact application with us before purchase.
Does it keep tracking if unplugged?
Only models with a suitable backup battery can continue for a limited period, and reporting depends on settings and signal. Ask for the selected model’s specification.
